RBT/Behavior Specialist
Virginia, USA
Be a part of a company that is bridging the gap between ABA and education in school districts across the state of Virginia. Our team is passionate about changing the lives of students and school staff through the coaching and implementation of ABA techniques within the school setting.
Under the supervision of a BCBA, the RBT/Behavior Specialist will implement behavior strategies within a classroom in order to help decrease disruptive behaviors that impede learning. The RBT/Behavior Specialist will rotate across different schools and classrooms in the district depending on the BCBA’s discretion of needs throughout the school year. RBTs will also work with client’s in our direct service model, providing ABA interventions in the community.
The position requires an individual certified as an RBT or BCBA/BCaBA candidate who has already begun their coursework. Preference will be provided to those who have experience working in the schools and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (education, psychology, etc). Candidates must be able to implement evidence-based strategies modeled and written by a BCBA with fidelity in a classroom environment.
Evidence-Based Classroom Solution’s main office is located in Lynchburg VA, however, our services extend across the state (Montgomery County, Roanoke, Manassas, Richmond etc).

Direct Services
- Conduct assessments and develop Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans in accordance with the client’s needs.
- Review Treatment plan with parents and client when appropriate.
- Train and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) on the implementation of treatment plans
- Ensure data and all documentation regarding client care is up to date and accurate.
- Schedule clients for services both with the BCBA and the appropriate RBT
- Participate in weekly clinical reviews to ensure the efficacy of treatment and progress monitoring.
- Provide documentation necessary to complete billing to the client’s insurance.
- Work in a collaborative and professional manner with other services provides both in and outside of EBCS to ensure quality coordination of care.
- Report to the Direct Service Coordinator on the progress of client treatment.
- Provide ongoing supervision of assigned RBTs and maintain records of the supervisions in accordance with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Maintain all applicable licenses and certifications to provide treatment
- For BCaBAs, work under the supervision of assigned BCBA.
School-Based Services
- Provide embedded coaching and modeling of the principles of ABA in assigned classrooms.
- Provide consultation to teachers and administrators on IEP goals, FBAs, and other student-specific support needs.
- Provide coaching reports to staff that is supported by EBCS.
- Maintain daily support logs for services provided to the school division.
- Participate in IEP and Student support team meetings when requested to do so by the divisions and after approved by the School Service Coordinator.
- Participate in weekly meetings with the school’s School Service Coordinator.
- Develop materials for the classroom when appropriate to use as a model for supported classroom staff.
- Supervision of EBCS RBTs in the classroom in accordance with the BACB.
- Provide direct support of students based on direction from the school division:
- Development of intervention plan
- Training and Supervision of RBT providing direct services
- Progress monitoring and data collection
- Provide progress updates monthly.
